Rebekah Gordon, 29, of Roseville didn't just win the F25-29 age group — she made it look like a different race entirely. Her 22:01 at 7:06 per mile was a full 3:37 ahead of runner-up Sydnie Fernandez (25:38, 8:15/mi), a margin that speaks for itself on a flat 5K course on a cool, clear March morning in West Sacramento. This wasn't a close contest at the front; it was Gordon setting a standard the rest of the field couldn't touch.

Behind Gordon, Fernandez held second comfortably, but the real drama was in the chase pack. Mckenna Grimes (3rd, 26:00), Claudia Marie Huynh (4th, 26:11), Addison Scott (5th, 26:40), Linnea Woodfork (6th, 26:57), and Anne Aguilera (7th, 27:11) covered places 3 through 7 in just 71 seconds — a genuine race within the race where every second of pace mattered.
