Cari Bartnicki of Novato made the F45-49 race her own from the jump. Her 8:03/mi average was a full 54 seconds per mile faster than second-place Anna Chiu's 8:57/mi, and that gap tells the whole story: Bartnicki crossed in 25:00 while the rest of the field was still working. In a damp, breezy San Francisco morning with 95% humidity pressing down on every stride, that kind of margin doesn't happen by accident.

The real drama in the F45-49 field played out just behind her. Chiu (27:47) and Walnut Creek's Delina Huang (28:01) — both 47 — ran a genuine two-woman race for the podium, with Chiu holding off Huang by 14 seconds at the finish. Their paces (8:57 vs. 9:01/mi) were close but Chiu had just enough to keep second place. Carly Clemence finished a solid 4th in 30:30, then Carolina Plascencia (31:12, 5th), Derek Chen (31:38, 6th), and Lixia Zuo (31:47, 7th) bunched up within a 35-second window for positions five through seven.

Further back, a tight cluster formed around the 32–34 minute range: Robyn Lamsam (8th, 31:58), Emily Gieselmann (9th, 32:31), and Sophie Richardson (10th, 32:59) rounded out the top ten. Then Svetlana Matic through Young Hee Kwon — places 11 through 20 — filled the 34–37 minute stretch, with no single runner in that group more than about a minute ahead of the next. Fifty more women completed the F45-49 field, all of them earning a finish on a raw, windy morning on the streets of San Francisco.
