Graham Goodale made the M15-19 race look like a solo time trial. The 15-year-old from Charlottesville crossed in 26:56 — more than three minutes clear of the next finisher — averaging 5:25 per mile and landing 7th among all men in the field. At an age when most runners are still finding their legs, Goodale was already operating at a different level entirely.

Behind him, a genuine battle unfolded for the podium. Oran Barker of Yorktown held off Jackson Pruitt of Virginia Beach by just 9 seconds — 30:07 to 30:16 — with both running just over 6:05/mi. Jack Strumke (30:42) rounded out the top four, keeping the gap to Pruitt at a manageable 26 seconds. All three were 16 or younger, which made the 6:04–6:11 range all the more impressive under 62°F conditions with a 9 mph coastal breeze.

The mid-pack produced its own compelling cluster. Jaxon Sykes (33:01), Jayce Joyner (33:06), and Ezra Locke (33:07) arrived in a tight knot at places 5 through 7, separated by a mere 6 seconds across the finish line. That trio — all from the Hampton Roads area — must have been running shoulder to shoulder for much of the back half of the course.

Further down, the age group showed real depth through the teens and into the 30s on the clock. From John Butler's 34:19 at 10th to Bailey Bach's 36:37 at 15th, eight runners spread across a two-minute window, with 84 more finishers beyond the listed 20. Goodale's dominance was the headline, but the M15-19 field at the 2025 Shamrock 8K was far from a one-man show.
