Richmond's Robert Mazzanti, 37, made the most notable positional climb of the three, moving from 6th at the first checkpoint all the way to 3rd by the finish. His 25:39 (5:10/mi) was backed by the 4th-fastest men's second-half split — a steady, purposeful back-half that earned him the final podium spot.
