Olivia Becerril made the F16-18 age group her own from start to finish at the Shamrock'n 10K. The 17-year-old from West Sacramento crossed in 53:57 — the only finisher in the group to break the hour — and her 8:41/mi average left the rest of the four-woman field well behind. Her second half was strong enough to rank 48th among all women on the 5K-to-finish segment, a mark that reflects real competitive pace against a much broader women's field.

The gap back to second place tells the whole story of the top of the age group. Olivia Dovey, 18, of Fair Oaks, finished in 1:07:14 — a solid 10:49/mi effort — but that was 13 minutes and 17 seconds behind Becerril. Dovey held 263rd among women at the halfway point before finishing 282nd, running a consistent second half in her own right.

The most dramatic moment of the age group came right at the line, where Aanya Sanjay and Rithika Bhat — both 18, from San Jose and Rocklin respectively — arrived within one second of each other. Sanjay took 3rd in 1:19:21 and Bhat claimed 4th in 1:19:22, both averaging 12:46/mi across the full 10K. Their second halves tracked almost identically too, with Sanjay posting the 660th-fastest women's split on the back half and Bhat right behind at 661st. One second across 10 kilometers — that's as tight as it gets.
