The 76-year-old from Columbia, MS, crossed in 1:11:36 at an 11:31/mi clip — a pace that translated into real movement through the women's field. She entered the back half ranked 443rd among women and finished 411th, picking off 32 places in the second 5K alone, posting the 388th-fastest women's split on that segment.

Dilyn Radakovitz, 79, of Loomis, CA, brought her own story to the finish line.
