On a cool, clear March morning in West Sacramento — 56°F with a light breeze — Elizabeth Fraser made the F45-49 race look straightforward. Her 48:31 finish at 7:49/mi wasn't just a win; it was a statement. She held 14th place among all women from the midpoint to the finish, and her 13th-fastest women's split on the back half confirmed she wasn't coasting. The real drama in this age group played out behind her. Kellie Beck crossed 2nd in 52:48, but Abby Bewley was coming hard. Bewley sat 49th among women at the halfway point and unleashed the 19th-fastest women's split on the 5K→Finish segment to rocket up to 31st — a gain of 18 places in the women's field over the back half alone.
